Packaging Sterilization

Sterafill developed a method of sterilisation using plasma and ozone
The plasma system used is unique to Sterafill and was developed in conjunction with The University of Liverpool and In particular, Professor James Walsh, where we developed a system to sterilise a packaging material for a flexible packaging
machine

The system takes a matter of seconds and carries on treating the packaging material to the point of fill

This reduces the aseptic zone to a matter of mm A separate system was developed to pre-sterilise the packaging material before production runs

Current trials carried out by Campden Bri have got a 10. spore kill in 20 minutes to the point of fill so dramatically reducing the down time of a production machine
